Travel and Parking Information for CCSCNE 2009

The conference motels, and many others, are a very short distance from the I87 exit. (For Best Western, turn right onto Route 3, then take the second left and look on your right. For La Quinta continue straight across Route 3 and look on the right.

Parking on Friday (except for the programming contest and workshop #2)

Here is a campus map showing conference parking and the locations of the programming contest and the main conference registration desk.

Conference parking will be in Lot #21 accessible from George Angell Drive. Those coming to the programming contest may wish to park on the streets near Hawkins Hall. (See below.)

If approaching the college on Route 3 from the west (e.g. from I87 or the motels), bear right at the "Y" where Route 3 (Cornelia St.) intersects with Broad St. Turn right at the next light onto Prospect St. Follow Prospect St for 3 blocks to Rugar St. Then cross Rugar St. onto George Angell Drive. Parking lot 21 is on your left after you pass Sibley Hall.

Parking near the Programming Contest. (See map)

The Hawkins parking lots #2 and #3 can be used by contest participants and those attending workshop #2. These lots usually fill up around 9 AM. Early in the morning there is a also a good chance of finding a parking space on West Court St. (north side only). Contest participants should go directly to the contest registration desk outside Hawkins 053B. (The main conference registration desk will not open until 10 AM.

If approaching the college on Route 3 from the west (e.g. from I87 or the motels), stay left at the "Y" where Broad St. joins Route 3 (Cornelia St.). Draper is the second street on the right. To park in lot #2, continue past Draper and turn into the next driveway on the right. Lot #3 can be reached from lot #2 or by turning right on Draper and turning into the first driveway on the left. (Hawkins Hall will be on your left.) West Court St is on the other side of Draper.

All college parking lots can be used on Saturday.
